71 Electra: single or dual exhaust?

Just noticed a 71 Electra 225 Custom 2-dr on eBay with a single exhaust; is there a way to tell if that was that way from the factory? (I know the VIN's of 1972 and up will tell me)
Could you order a single or dual exhaust in 1971? (I know a year later the Centurion with 455 could have a single exhaust)
Is there a selling code for single or dual exhaust for the 71 Electra?

if there is it would be the two letter engine code stamping.

i'm suspecting that single exh is the factory default. the only engine code shown in our list for the Electra is "TR" with 310hp. the Riv and Centurion also had a "TA" code engine which is listed at 335hp. i'm betting the "TA" is dual exh.

I looked into those engine codes as well, but figured the (non GS) Riviera had the TR code as well (to my acknowledge all Rivs came with dual exhaust ) and I know a single exhaust 71 Estate Wagon as well (also TR code).
Still I have to admit I'm not sure about those last all Rivs came with dual and Wagons with dual or single exhaust.
So I, more or less, figured there should be something with a dealer selling code

On another board somebody stated all Electras came with a double hump cross member eventhough the car had a single exhaust.

    Thanks for your input Robert
