    water pump pulley removal??

i am replacing the water pump on my 401 nailhead. well i removed the radiator, belts and pulled the pump off but i have no idea how to remove the pulley of the water pump shaft. do i need to go rent a pulley removal tool or something? any help is appreciated.

I looked through all the documentaiotn i have and it just say remove pulley and place on new pump, not much help.

If your replacing the water pump all you need is the pulley the new pump has the shaft . If the pulley is stuck, spay your favorite penatration oil on the pulley where it mounts on the shaft. Let it set awhile, should come off with a few good raps .support the pulley and strike on the shaft with a brass drift.
