    Clutch

Just had the clutch replaced on a 39 Coupe, has about 1 to 1 3/4 free play, but it grabs just as you let it up from the floor, adjusted both ways still the same. Is this normal, till you put some miles on it, the clutch feels real strong? Thanks

Did you put a rebuilt clutch pressure plate in? I have had bad luck with rebuilds and never use them now. When they resurface the plate, sometimes they take off too much material when trueing it.
