Just purchased a 1967 Skylark and cannot determine what engine I have??? Prev owner states its a 340 cu in, but I want to be sure. How do I decode from car data plate or from the engine itself? Thanks for any info!

In addition to Bob's post above, a green 2 bbl engine is likely to be the original 300 engine and a red bbl engine is likely to be the original 340.
