weird engine number on 1947 Straight 8?
I have a 1947 Buick 56s with a (248) Straight 8. The engine number stamped on it is 473Ib345. I was trying to find out about the engine etc. but I could not find anything in a the engine number data sheets of buick with number & letters. Any guess what it means? Thanks.
Don't be too critical of the spampings. It would be 4731634 5
making it a 1947 50 series
