Do you mean the pull up bar for the horseshoe shifter handle?
Has anybody found a source for a replacement pushbutton for the center console of a 1970 Skylark? I have bought console locks from OPGI but they are too large in diameter. There is a console in the classified's that shows the correct pushbutton, but I have had no luck finding one.
I'd appreciate any information anyone could provide.
Thanks in advance

No, I am looking for a replacement pushbutton latch that allows you to open the center console compartment door. Heres a picture - I hope...
Thanks for replying
Mike
As far as I know I bought the last GM NOS ones a few years back. There were two I could find. You must buy the entire latch assembly. To my belief no repros have been made. If anyone has it would be www.thepartsplaceinc.com.
OPGI is prmarily a Chevelle supplier. They have a bad habit of of putting their Chevelle parts in their Buick Cat on the assumption they will cross over without really checking it out first.

I appreciate the feedback, I checked with the parts place and they don't have the latch. I hear what you are saying about OPGI, I've returned a few parts already.
So far the only place I have found with the part is called billonsandtrillonsinc. They are pricey but they say they have the part in stock.
I guess it comes with the territory when you are trying to restore a classic - it's just part of the fun!
I would read this thread and all it links before I sent one penny there.
