    Late model Dynaflow performance?

I have a 52 Buick Super that I want to install a 425 in . A sleeper is what I have in mind. I prefer to leave the original steering column in place with the column shifter. Does the '63 Dynaflow 'slip' as much as a '52
Dynaflow during acceleration? I guess the real answer would be, assuming I have the power, can you spin the rear tires on pavement? Does a 63 Dynaflow transfer power to the rear wheels like a turbo 400?

The 1962 and 1963 Dyna-Flow have an open drive line but the 1961 still uses the enclosed tube so any transmission from 1956 to 1961 should work well in you car. The transmissions are about the same after 56 but one from a 401 is a little stronger.

The valve to control the kick down is operated from a bellcrank and one out of a 1955 or 56 Buick should be an easy adaption to your 52.

I have used the Dyna-Flow for racing and if you don't mind manually shifting into low gear each time you stop it will keep pace with any other automatic and is like the powerglide in that it becomes the poor mans Lynco.

    Thank you Jim

The reason I said "63" is two fold. I have a 63 available and I want an open drive shaft. I am well aware of the work involved in the conversion.
