    tire options 63 riv

    hey guys; john in tx here new guy
    before christmas i bought a 63 riv 425 it does run and drives but it is mostly dis assembled the body is straight . orig wht/ black int. the ? is it has 205-75-15 on stk rims whats the best size tire to replace this with? and i did find a whole 63 flintstone parts car just got to go pick it up.

    The original tire size I believe was 7.10 X 15. Tough size to find except maybe though a classic tire supplier like Coker. The ones you have are probably just fine.

    215/75/15 or 225/70/15 Anything larger & there will be tire rubbing issues.

    My '65 has 235s on it, they only rub on sharp turns with the air suspension dropped. The spare was an very old 235; not original, but that tells me it has been run on this size for many years.

    thanks for the info i have a brand new set of235/75 15 already from previous car i had. i think alittle rubbing will be ok till it gets on the road and painted then if i keep stk wheels or go different it will get new tires again anyways thanks
