70 should be the same as long as you pick the same core number. 72 lark radiators will fit but the filler neck is cocked and the corner is maybe different. Aluminum repros are made too.
Is it possible to switch out a 71 Skylark radiator core with another GM radiator core of a similar year? If so what model and what year?

Do you mean a core support? Or a radiator?

I am sorry. I was talking about a core support. The radiator is being replaced with an aluminum radiator.
For core supports 1971 and 72 and the same. Although a 70 is not exactly the same it wil still bolt up to a 1971-72 Buick A body.
Please help,
I'm looking for a good core support to fit a 71 GS in the Detroit, Michigan area.

Then and Now http://www.musclecarnation.com/ will have reproduction core supports by the end of May. This company specializes in restoring Buicks and there stuff is as good as you will find.

Wes, the new reproductions will be out soon, or there are some repair kits for under the battery available.
I have several core supports that are solid everywhere except under the battery if that would work for you.
