Well, I've seen some nice Monte Carlos along with other cars and makes. What do you want said about it?
Hey.
I am a natural buick lover but i came across a 71 Monte Carlo and i was wanting to know what others think about it. built 350.
original 12 bolt.
I am still with buicks but I would rather not have to restore a car first before I can start my 63 Riviera.
I need opionins.
Thanks
Lou

Nothing wrong with a '71 Monte Carlo with a built 350 in it. Of course I'm partial to Buicks, especially Skylark GS's. Was out the other day and one (MC) came up around me and at a rolling 35 or 40 on a straight stretch of road I left him hanging out by about 8-10 car lengths, but that's not to say a solid built 350 chevy engine couldn't whip a Buick 401 Nailhead. Sure was fun though. Good luck with your build on the '63 Rivi. My dad had one of those and I love the body style and everything included within. Jim
Buick... Torque monsters of America.
Thanks for the replys.
what i wanted to know was if they were decent to drive like durable.
basically all buicks can be trusted with no problems.

I'm a Buick lover as well, the older Buicks more. Any Chevy with a 350,396 beefed up or not. Are very dependable. I know the Buick GS with a 455 were no slouches. I drove a 64' Buick Riviera years ago and it had what it takes to GO!!! 71 Monte Carlo's are very nice looking as well, good luck with it. Do what makes you happy, and enjoy it.

I would jump on any good solid car if I could afford it! To me the body and chassis is more important than the engine especially a chevy as acquiring an engine is no problemo.
