Can anyone identify this engine? It's a straight eight Buick and the number stamped on the right side forward of the distributer is 69269514. It has a standard 3 speed bolted on. I think it's a 1952 263ci. Will the connecting rods and/or crankshaft from this engine work in a 1938 248ci?

If it is a 263 then the parts will NOT interchange. Rods are shorter and the main journals are not the same size. Swap the whole engine or find a 248.
