Well, yes a manual would fill my needs, and you're right I do have one that is in too rough a shape, and I need the first section. I was considering buying a new one on ebay, but then thought I would ask for what I need here. Do you have an extra manual or?

Ah, computer upgrades. Yes, I am now on the new Vista, a mistake if you have a bunch of old valuable programs. I lost my old reliable scanner which I have used since before internet days. It just could not be upgraded with Vista, and many programs need to be upgraded at cost, like word etc. More hundreds of dollars
