Rear End Noise (No Posi-traction) 71' Buick? Still original.
Question: Someone said @ work to use graphite Gear Oil?
Is there such a thing? How many quarts? Etc
This will quiet my rear end down?
Anyone know?
Thanks....

If you have rear end noise, I would think you would be better off to fix the reason than to cover it up.
It probably need some attention and it is far more economical to do it now than to cover it up and blow it. You don't have a pose, so the spider shaft is probably in bad shape and ready to fall out the next time you do a one wheeler burn out. Once you have the cover off have a look at the ring and pinion and see how much play they have. Maybe you can get away with shimming the carrier over.

Are you referring to moly gear oil?
Schaeffer oil and gear oil have the moly and penetro in it.
that might be what someone at your work is talking about
