Hi, 'found some answers in a later thread, will try to wire my brake light switch to the tranny and see what happens...
Still looking anyway for a brand new 'idle switch' if you know where to find it....
Hi all, need to know if I can fix the idle switch on my 67' 340/ST300 Skylark (it's on the throttle linkage), or, if I can't, where I can find a new one as I've been looking on the web and can't seem to find any...
Maybe you have another better idea for a reason to my trany not to 'switch the pitch' at idle ??????
Thanks for help !

I hope I am wrong, but I don't think they are available. You will have to find one from someone parting out a car.
According to the manual, No Stator Action
a. Check stator idle and detent control switch adjustments and wiring.
b. Check stator solenoid and stator valve.
c. Check stator bushings for excessive wear and scoring.
d. Check reaction shaft bushing for extreme wear and scoring.
e. Check front oil seal ring on input shaft.

Hi, thanks Bob, as I mentioned in other post I now have THE book, so I was tring the'a' issue, looking and hoping for the most simple solution.... Wich me good luck that it's THE solution....! I'd be realy disapointed if I have to open the tranny....Thanks again...
Although the switch-pitch is nice, if it didn't work you wouldn't get me to open the transmission because of it. I would just cope until the transmission needed a rebuild or something else.
