    Newbie from MD

Hey guys, new to the site. Put a deposit on a 1970 Skylark convertible tonight. It's a project but has already been off the frame and has new quarters fenders and just about ready for paint. Floors and trunk are original and beautiful. It's been sitting in a garage since 1978 when it was parked due to a blown head gasket. Dare I say I'm replacing the 350 2-barrell with a fresh 355 chevy I already have on the stand. Looking to just make a nice cruiser out of it. Here are some pics I took off it at it's current home.

Why you using a Chevy engine instead of a Buick engine?

I already have a fresh 355 on the stand that I had built for another project I no longer have along with a nice set off ceramic coated long tube headers for GM A-body...it'll be much more cost effective to just drop that in...besides, at least it's still GM!

Looks like you are dumping a lot of work into that thing! (The results will be worth it!)

    Welcome aboard.
