Wheels from mid-'50's Buicks should be the same as wheels for a 1950 Buick correct? They both should have the same 5 on 5 bolt pattern and use bolts instead of wheel studs?

I just put wheels from a 72 on my 39' had to remove the aligning pin

It good to know that the wheels center are similar to 72?
I tink the forties,and the fifties hade a different base?

Thanks for the info guys. A friend of a friend just bought a '50 Buick and needs wheels for it. I said I'd do some checking an let them know what would fit and just wanted to check here before I got back to them.
