    Brake upgrade? '55 Buick

Looking for the easiest upgrade for my '55 Special brakes. Don't mind leaving it with drums... but what about the master cylinder. Are there better ones out there than the original? Would larger drums be a consideration too? Is there a bolt on disc upgrade out there?

    Thanks much.

I will be upgrading not only the V8, but I will also be pulling a boat and a small travel trailer at times. I want to make sure I have enough braking power and not a one-point failure system on this. Old out-dated master cylinder isn't up to snuff. Would probably prefer an upgrade to a disc system as well.

    Hi Stubbe from Germany !

Where did you buy your brakeparts in Sweden ? Do you have a website of an supplier ? I am in the market for a new/rebuilt master for my 1956 Special and buying in Sweden would cut a lot of the freight costs...

    Best regards
