it isn't the size that matters....

The things we wildcat owners have is too big a brake drum fins...

i always wanted a set of cragar ss rims on my car, but the damn fins were way to big, even with 15" rims. I put a set of 17" rims on my car and they worked great. Kinda ugly seeing a classic with rapper rims on it. So, I took them off, took the rivets off of the front drums to leave the hubs still on, and I turned the outer drums down. Just the fins only though! Anyways, after doing the fronts then the rears, the cragars went on really nicely. So, 15's are tight and the bigger the rim, the easier they are for fit since the are larger than the drums....

    uhhhh cragars and NO SPACERS!

Here is my Buick with cragars and the original brake drums. The front rims are 15x7 and the rears are 15x8. They can be installed, you just have to know how...

BTW, when you use spacers ( tried those too) you only have about 1/4" of threads being used. So if you have a car you wanna keep the wheels staying on, don't use spacers. The studs will break especially with a nailhead with dual quads and a posi rear like mine!

    rims bigger than...

I think that anyone who uses anything bigger than 15's devalues the vehicle. Its kind of like putting stick on portholes on a KIA!

They may look good to a newer age kind of guy, but that to me is just plain ugly. I seen a 1980 Chevy impala with gold 24's on it, and it looked really stupid. Like having 13's sticking out about 6 inches from the fender on a 64 impala, like they do in L.A.

We are not in L.A., so that stuff should just stay there.
