    Type "A" power steering fluid?

I assume this stuff is obsolete, since I can't find it anywhere.

So, you guys with power steering that originally called for Type A fluid, what are you running now?

    Thanks!

You are right, type "A" is obsolete - we are with type "F" meanwhile, I think...
I run regular ATF in my Power Stering System (1956).
As type "F" is what you should get when you go shopping for automatic transmission fluid today, I would say it is type "F" what is inside the guts of my steering-system...

    Type F is for "FORD"!!

You should use Type A if you can find it. I've seen it at Napa in AZ and also at some Pilot Truck stops...

Dexron is the modern equivalant of Type A.
