    Angry frame repair

    I just found that my frame is broke were the front crossmember connects to the frame at the left motor mount but just at the welds is this common glad Ifound it be for I swaped in my 455 were can I get a frame spec sheet or will it be the same a chevelle

    Most of the Buick Chassis Service Manuals (by year) have detailed measurements and reference drawings of the frame. I would try that first. I am assuming you are going to try and weld yours up. Intermediate frames were mostly consistent across the GM line from year to year with some subtle differences.

    Question

    I am going to weld it my self by the way it is a 1972 skylark I got from my great aunt she bought it new there have been no wrecks so how can this happen it is broke on both sides and bottom on crossmember were it ataches to the main frame and split the crossmember at the seem about10-12 inchs ?
