    Cross-compatible?

Hey everyone, been a long time since i've posted on here...
Anyways, I've hit a roadblock of sorts with my 71 skylark, and am in desparate need of certain parts. Now, I have a line on a 73 century, which may have what I need.
From what I've read, both the skylark and century are both based on the A-body, and was wondering if the front disc brakes, spindles and brake booster would fit on my skylark from this century?

    Thanks!

If you have spindles on your car now and none are bent then you can go to the store and buy new disc brake parts. You will need the backing plate and caliper bracket that you can find online. You then need to grind down the top bolt in the spindle so the head is 1/4 or more less then original thickness. This is so it doesnt hit the rotor. The booster and mastercylinder are also at the local store and you just need to purchase an adjustable proportioning valve on ebay.

    Bracket 65
    backing plate 45
    proportioning valve 35 to 40
the rest at Pep Boys or whatever.

    double check your spindles.

i was under the impression that 1972 was the crossover year when GM went from "Rear Steer" to "Front Steer" setups for the steering linkages and boxes on the A-body cars.

The spidle itself might still be the same as far as the bolt pattern. It doesnt really matter if you go online and do a part search and cross reference the cars that they fit. Discs should be the same for both as well as the bearings.
