Hey TB 'ers.
I am finally replacing the fuel lines in my 69 Lark. The old ones where in need of replacing and were removed quite sometime ago. I purchased pre-bent lines for the A-body, both feed and return, and for some reason I recall the lines being routed through the engine crossmember just under the motor mounts, is that right ? May be tricky with the bends already in the lines, any safe alternatives, or is this the only way?
Also, I got rid of the charcoal canister and the lines that ran back to the tank. Is it okay to just slip a chunk of rubber fuel line over the inlets at the tank, or does it need to be vented ?
Thanks ...
Rick
I believe the reason they routed the fuel line through the frame is probably to shield it from the exhaust heat.
