    215 vs 300 intakes...

Here's another intake question. I know there are a lot of questions/issues involving putting the 4 bbl manifold onto the 300... but what about a 2x2bbl from a 215? The part is an Edelbrock 02B... I have a 300/2bbl that came swapped into my 1954 Ford 2dr. I love the weird combo and want to keep the engine- and the 2x2 would look great, as well as improve performance a tad. Any suggestions? I believe the engine to be a '65 but would have to pull numbers... it does not appear to be aluminum anything... thanks!

If the whole engine inlcluding the heads are cast iron its a 65 or later engine for sure.Only 64s had the aluminum intake manifold and aluminum heads.I have seen people use the 215 intakes on the 300 but you need to make two aluminum runner spacers to fill the gap between the intake and the heads I believe but it can and has been done.....Look over on the V8Buick board as there was a guy that there I believe that made some spacers to adapt this intake, just do a search for 215 300 manifold swap maybe........

Thanks guys... will do. I suppose I would need a valley cover of some sort too... I'll do some research. THink the twin 2's would look awesome on the old rod and want to keep the unique 300. Not looking to win any races... just some nice cruising.
