1971 Skylark Custom Convertible paint help

I am taking my 71 Skylark Custom Convertible for paint this weekend.
Question - there is a removable "nose" type of trim on the front of the hood. A portion of that piece (closest to the hood) is currently painted. I am wondering if it indeed is supposed to be painted or if it is origianally an all chrome piece. Also, the headlight doors have a painted area which I am more sure are supposed to be painted. Can anyone confirm that these items are painted as stock?

    Thanks!

The front trim on the hood should NOT be painted if you're going for stock. It's supposed to be polished chrome...as for the "headlight doors," I'm not sure what part you're referring to. Pretty much damn near everything around the headlights are supposed to be chrome/polished steel. Hope this helps some...
    And the collection continues...
