You need something!
You should get a friend to watch the gear for bad tie rods etc. while you rock the wheel.
Turning the wheel(s) of an old lady like my super -51 is a lot of work before it pays of...quiet understandably. But I wonder if anybody knows
what a normal "play" can be. I reccon I have to turn the wheel about to 2 and 10 o' clock before things happen when not moving, tires on the ground. Is that okay or do
we need adjustment?

Thanks! I guess it's too much then. I'll check it out.

To adjst the play in the box (if every thing else checks out) set the wheels straight ahead, loosen the lock nut and turn the box adjustment screw down until it stops, then back it off 1/2 turn. If the wheels arn't straight or you don't back it off you won't be able to turn the wheels both ways.
