Have you looked over the "visually identifcation" article in the "reference" section of the site? Once there, you will also find firing orders in the reference section too.
Hi, I'm puzzled....I got my 322 (?) engine rebuilt (just head work) and according to the mechanic the firing order does not match the one on the manual.
The serial # on the left bank is 1804 6(looks like a "b) 035 which doesn't match any of the serial on the website......any hint?? thanks

the cylinder banks on Nailheads have the odd and even designations reversed (that is, the passenger bank is the odd numbers and the drivers bank is the even numbers for a Nailhead) from modern, 'standard' GM practice. this may be confusing him.

Check this link for stamping numbers, not casting numbers, that will help you identify your engine.
