    Question '57 Roadmaster 75 Help

My best friend has a 57 Roadmaster that has both front doors sagging, Additionally it looks as though even if the doors could be properly adjusted the body side mouldings still would not line up between body panels and door panels. I am trying to help him out but am much more familiar with my 64 Riviera. Are the doors easily adjusted and can the side mouldings be moved up or down if need be? On one side, between the front door and rear door, the mouldings are mismatched by 3/8 of an inch. Thanks for any help.

    Door adjustments

Yep, doors are adjustable at the front hinges, and minor adjustments at the striker plate, however, your buddy should purchase The 57 Body, as well as chassis manual's, there are plenty available at reasonable cost on E-bay, with illustrations and directions to assist. And No the side trim is NOT adjustable, the problem is door alignment not trim...........Rick

Thanks Rick. I have suggested he get a service manual before. Maybe this will be the last straw for him.
