I have a 1970 GS 455 Stage 1 and I'm in the process of restoring the car. Having trouble with the instrument cluster. The fuel and temp gauges do not work, but the oil pressure gauge works on the factory tri-gauge cluster. I've checked the wiring and the fuses, both seem to be fine and connected properly. Added an aftermarket temp gauge for the time being. But concerned about the fuel gauge. Also, my speedometer records a speed approx. 20-30 mph faster. Wondering if changing the rear end gears had anything to do with this. Went from factory 3.62's to 4.11's for the track. Do I need to change the speedo gears in the tranny? Any ideas or hints will be appreciated. Thanks.

Youll need to change the lil plastic gear in the transmission. I dont remember what color it has to be. As for the fuel guage youll need a test light and check if the tank line is grounding or supplying power to your guage.
