    ignition switch

my 66 electra fried the plastic plug that goes on ignition switch. i got the plug off the switch but can't seem to figure out how to get the switch & key cylinder out of the dash! to cheap to buy a $100 manual! any ideas? i know someone knows what that pin hole is for next to key hole!!

Turn the key to accessory and put a paper clip end in the "little hole." Turn the key to the left with the paper clip under a little pressure in the hole. The tumbler assembly will pop out and you will be able to remove the retaining ring that holds the switch to the dash.

    Good Luck.
