Actually, the flight-pitch dynaflow was standard in the 58 limited only, and optional at extra cost (plenty!) in the rest of the line-up. It was optional (at extra cost!) in all 59 Buicks. Twin turbine dyna's were had at little extra cost in the 58-9 models. The 3 spd was standard, and practily nobody went for it! It is, as a result, quite odd. But the flight -pitch, the coolist dyna trans ever, is really rare!! Buick tried to control the stall ratio of the trans by carb linkage, did'nt work. The trans never would "hook-up". Everybody took the trans out, tossed it and put in a twin turbine. It was gone at the end of 59.alleycat
