i had a v6 in my 67 buick special and now im putting in a 68 430 wildcat with the th400 trans, do i need to get new motor mounts. if so where can i gt them from, i tried a local racing store and they dident have anything.
also i do i need to get another trans mount? and where can i get that??

You will need to use 67 GS 400 mounts(on Frame) and a REAR sump oil pan(70 and later 455 pan) for the engine to fit
Poston enterprises sells frame mounts that will work for you
The trans mount is the same, but ST300, and St400 are different legths, so you will have to move the crossmember bach appox 6 inches and get a new driveshaft
If youre not concerned with mileage, use the original trans...its stong enough, and with theV6 torque converter( higher stall speed) the car should launch like a scared rabbit.
you car should also have 3:42 or lower gears, so it should run awesome
If you havent already, CHANGE THE OIL PUMP SPRING in that 430 to the WHITE spring in an oil pump kit(factory Stage 1, 60 psi)
love those 430s, have one with 476,000 miles that doesnt use oil yet
