    Oil pan gasket

    Leaky oil pan gasket.

    69 350 skylark

    can i replace the gasket with the motor in the car? will i be able to remove the pan?

    Yes , you will need to remove motor mount bolts and lift eng. up for clearance and besure to get a pickup tube gasket . HTH

    Hoisting that motor

    John thanks for the info.

    i'm not able to use a cherry picker or block and tackle.

    if i use a wood block and floor jack it up by the damper.
    is that going to be alright?

    Yes just be sure to be safe so that eng. does not roll off blocks , put blocks under the motor mounts when you get eng. lifted enough to pull oil pan .Good luck .
