1976 Buick Special

I found a car that I havnt heard of before. Its a '76 Buick Special, 3.8 Litre, 2-dr A-body, like a Century. Its kinda rough, but if its rare or something special, I'll buy it and restore it. I got a few pictures too.

I believe the '76 was the last year ever for the Special. It was pretty boxy and slow, pretty undesirable. However, that also probably means that there are very very few left any more.

The 3.8 is the same 3.8 found in the turbo cars, but with much less HP- 110 HP if I remember correctly. Very durable cars, but not very desirable otherwise.

I totally disagree.
desirability is in the eye of the person who may want a particular car.not everyone can afford a gs, gsx or gn.finding any buick is better than finding no buick at all

was the Special supposed to be a model or just a trim level on Skylark/Century?

i'm not seeing any model coding for it in my VIN books...

my book codes that as a "Century Special" ... which would be a trim level...
