    Thumbs up

    Hey Sickboy

Thats "One Sweet Ride" You were able to get your grubby hands on.

I just Love the nose on the '54 the last year of Buicks "Waterfall Toothy Grill"

Like the pinstriping on the Hood and the Flames around the Portholes.("Ventiports")
( I'm thinking of putting some LEDS in Mine)

Where were your able to find a Buick in such good condition here in New England.

We would like to hear the story behind the story.

    Inquiring minds want to know.

    Regards,

    Tom Gallagher

Hey Tom, Do they make small single led lights that would fit? Mine has regular bulbs in them and it looks really cool at night, but When I rewire I'm going to put them on the park light circut only. I may even go red lights if I can find them. Thanks, Bill

    Hey Bill

Someone has to make them. I will have to ask my son. He is pretty big into the electronic stuff.

Right off the top of my head I would think that Radio Shack or Accessorys in the auto parts stores must have something to fill the bill.

I would like to put in red orange and yellow to simulate flames

Hooking them up to the parking lamps is the best route.

Then if you are able to make them sequential that would be really different.

I will keep You posted on my findings.

Hey Tom, .I'm pretty amazed myself. Not just in New England but anywhere for the money I paid for her. I found her on Craigslist . She's been in a garage in Somerville Mass. for the last few years. The history is a bit foggy I believe the 80K on the odometer might be accurate. The previous owner inherited the car from his uncle, who had the custom work done about 7 years ago. Prior to that she sat in a garage for about 15 years. Beyond that I dunno.
LEDs ? I dunno .....I'm a bit skeptical , but I've been wrong before. I'm sure that we'll meet this summer ( maybe at Buick day at The Larz Anderson Museum in Brookilne Ma.) and I'll get to check 'em in action.

    Hey Sickboy54

Not many New Englanders are active in the Forum except for yours truely and Robert Bates (has a '55) who is a Firefighter on the Island of Nantucket.

There are some others but they haven't been active recently. There are plenty of Buick owners out there and there is a Minuteman Division of the Buick Club of America and they have a meet once a year and there was a all Buick car show at Tully Buick in Nashua, NH.

Locally here in RI. there are some older Buicks a '37 Special, a '38 Roadie and a '40 Limited and just recently someone redid a '48 Roadie Convertable on a '73 Rivieria Chassis and Drivetrain.

My '56 Special 2 door hardtop sat idle in a garage in Central Falls, RI. for over 30 years.

Sickboy, Nice car!!! you'll get alot of looks with that and Tom I found led lights on E-bay. 194s in white, blue, geen, and Red. You could get socket all day long at the wrecking yards, there the ones for the side markers. I think the would fit the ports perfectly. I'm just not sure what colors would look the best. Maybe red, yellow. Now to work on the sequental set up!! Too cool Bill

    Hey Bill

My Son says you can get LEDS in any of the Big Chain auto parts store.

For the sequential, Radio shack or some electronics store.

Some Flames around the PortHole "Ventiport" area looks great also
