I have a buick skylark 1977 with a 350 engine quadfour quadrajet 4 bbl carb?

looking to get horse power and better performance thought about nos , cam, and bettr rear end gears any suggestions and if so does anyone know what cam would be best and what gears?

first try gears.4.10 with 2500 to2800 stall converter, but no e-way ability 3.42 to 3.73 would be good that is something you wil FEEL, right off the bat. there are some cams out there and one or two intakes, about 400.00 for a goood one hedders are about 350.00 only one comp makes em HOOKER HOLLA BACK

head work is usually the best place for serious power to be made in these engines.

Jim Burek at www.PAEenterprises.com has been featured in several magazines and has gotten over 500hp normally aspirated.

Never hurts to check out www.taperformance.com if you're looking for performance. They cater specifically to Buick and I think they've got a few tricks for your 350.

Edit: Also try opening up the exhaust.

If I was doing a 350, I would spend my money in the following order:

    - Headers
    - Ignition
    - Intake Manifold
    - Carb (if yours needs improvement)
    - Cam
    - Rearend
    - Ported heads

dude, as far as head work goes, how deep is your pockets? ive had mild work done to mine, did my own gasket matching with a dremel style tool. to have the machine work done is about 1000.00,parts and labor. biggest bag for buck is a gear set and converter,im telling you. as far as a cam goes, you have to accessorize. cam, lifters, poss lower end work, bearings for sure a high volume oil pump, you have a 77 motor, so it is a smog motorlow comp, egr, smog exhuast pump. NOS WILL KILL IT,FAST MAN.anyway, here are 2 cam numbers to check out; 268H COMPS CAM. THIS IS A GOOD CAM i have it in my 73 another is TA 413-350-110 TA PERFORMANCE also try kanter.com for kits for engines good prices
