    tire size for 1971 gs

I just got a 1971 GS that has L-60-14's on the back and G-70-14's on the front. I've been to several tire shops looking for new tires to no avail. Can anyone tell me what these sizes translate into the radial sizes? Also was this car originally equipted with 14 or 15 inch wheels?

If your going to run 60's, I would suggest 15 inch wheels.

    Here's some help...

    tires

Thanks for your help. I've heard that they came with G-60's either 14's or 15's. Any truth to that?

On our car we have 235/60-15 on the front and 275/60-15 on the back , 295/50-15 will fit the back .
