    another 1.6 rocker question

the reason i ask about the 1.6 rocker is on my small block chevy i put the pushrod through the rocker and snapped the tips off 3 more . dont want to do this again . that cam was a .520 lift what about 455 rockers???

.520 is about the limit for stock rocker lift. Poston, PAE Enterprises and TA Performance all cary aftermarket rockers that will be good far above .500 lift.

Above about .510 lift, you should strongly consider TA's aluminum rollers. Not just because they have less friction, but also because they are stronger.

My exhaust lift is about .516, but I've kept the RPMs low so it hasn't been an issue (yet). I'm soon changing to a lower-lift cam, so I'll stick with my steel rockers for now.
