    climate control

have a 93 buick lesabre, was having trouble with the climate control, picked up a used climate control module (in dash) and now i can get heat. the problem i have now is it seems to be stuck between defrost and floor, i cannot change it to only floor or dash or defrost etc. when i push the different buttons i hear something clicking below the glove box which i found. from my wiring diagram it seems to be the a/c solenoid switch assembly??? it has a vacumn line coming to it from the engine compartment and 4 vacuum lines leaving it which seem to be going to the different vent boxes. could this part be my problem? any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks

Sounds like you have a vacuum leak ( with no or low vacuum controls default to defrost only ) The line from the eng. should have vacuum on it ( 16 to 18 in. at idle ) you can cut this line and test with a gauge ( use w/washer hose to splice it back ) . The vacuum is pulled from the intake manifold at the T/body dr. side and will goto a res. tank and and then inside the car.
