    camshaft sprocket bolt tightening

    Good morning everyone,
The manual doesn't tell how many foot pounds the camshaft bolt should be tightened to on the '55 engine.I don't want it to be too loose, and I'm afraid of overtightening it.Would you mind letting me know what you would tighten yours to?Thanks in advance for your help.

I sometimes used to drill then wire camshaft bolts. Now I usually just use a little loctite.

Thanks for the response.I did not think about using loctite, but will make a note in my manual.I torqued it,but no where near the tension of the fan pulley.
