I know where to look for the information on Camaro's but need help on this Buick. Looking at a 1966 Special Convertible. Need some information on the car. P.O.P. and lots of original paper work.

This is a nice driver, Red with white power top, V 6 engine, with red interior. Some small holes in trunk. What do you think the value is. they want $5,500. Thank you for the information. Weston
That seems to be an OK price for a nice convertible driver. I'd start lower and see what happens. There is not a lot of demand for V6 cars. The Vin is consistent with a V6 special convertible. MH is the code for a 66 Buick V6. I think LJ is the transmission code for the 66 V6 Special, but my 66 manual is not handy right now. It wouild be a great candidate for a big Buick V8 and 400 transmission transplant.

New to a Buick. Can you tell me the differance from a 1966 special and a 1966 GS. Did Buick build the GS on a special and add trim and engine up grade. Or are they two different cars? Photo's would be nice. Thank you for the information. Anyone decode the other numbers on the P.O.P. Weston

Well I got this Buick. First Buick and a convertible to boot. Lots of paper work with this car. POP, owners manual, power top manual, Engineer approved accessories for 1966. Many repair slips on tires, engine, shocks, ect. Should be a good driver for a few years until I have to do some minor body work. If anyone can decode the other numbers on the POP let me know or post . Thank you.
