I seem to remember seeing a 50's Buick that had a rear end like a 1957 or 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz - the one with the bullet-shaped rearend and shark like fins. Did I just dream this?

Tom:
Thanks for the reply, but that is not quite what I "remember". What I think I saw, had a rear end that was almost identical to the Cadillac Biarritz only the fin was more like a small "shark fin". No light were in the fins as are in the skylark.
I may very well have gotten cars confused or seen a custom car some where.
My rememberance, or lack thereof as the case may be certaintly does not detract from the 1954 Skylark which is a very handsome vehicle.

The 1951 LeSabre is what you are thinking about. At least it meets your description.

Take a Look,
What suits your fancy?
since the BIG 3 are reproducing Camaros, mustangs and challangers, HHR's etc. Why doesn't Buick produce a rendition of the Blackhawk, Wildcat, Riviera or other vehicle of distinction?
Got to love any concept car in the first 2 rows.
I wou;d love to park any one of them in MY driveway

Well, after looking at all the examples and the extraordinary concept cars, I have come to the conclusion that the car I saw must have been a custom job. As I recall, the front end looked like a 1958 Buick and the rear end looked like a 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz.
So, while I did not find the vehicle I was looking for, thanks to all of you that provided pictures of the possible vehicle. As it turns out, the search was much more informative than finding the answer I was looking for. The picture with all the concept cars was magnificent!!!
Thanks to all!!!!!!!!!
