the green wire is for the reverse wire. i believe it turns the dim feature off when the car is in reverse.

I have a 97 century and the rear view mirror went bad, leaked....I got a 97 park ave mirror #25626747 with a compass and need to find a wiring diagram for it.
Both are 7 pins but not the same pinout(I know I blew a fuse) fixed now but....My harness has 4 wires, Orange for + Brown for ign,Black for ground and a green one I do not know what it was for. The compass comes on with the brown,black and green wires hooked up not sure yet if the mirror changes. Anyone know what all the pins are for on the 25626747 mirror?

Pin #1: (Brown) hot in run, Pin #2: (Blk.Wht) ground, Pin #3: (Lt Green) Reverse Relay Input, Pin #4: (Gray) Outside EC Mirror Relectivity Control Output, Pin #5: (Pink) Outside ED Mirror Relectivity Control Output.
Forget about about pins 4 & 5 if your drivers side outside mirror doesn't have the dimming feature.

#3: (Lt Green) Reverse Relay Input, is the one I was not sure about. Reverse relay ok. The compass doesn't work guess its a problem in that circuit if its not a special wire that supplys it. stays on S or SW all the time...Other than that I guess its working.

The compass started working over the weekend....
I heard somewhere it takes several days to get aligned????
