    97 lesabre heater core removal

Does anyone have a diagram or written steps for removing the heater core in a 97 lesabre? Or possibly a troubleshooting guide? All I get is cool air when I try to turn the heat on.

ok, have you done any things to look into this problem? it is quite likely that you DO NOT need to change your heater core. if you can get the coolant lines that feed and return from the core off, simply blow through them to see if its restricted, if you can blow through it, you're likely good. there could be a variety of things keeping you from getting the heater to blow hot such as low coolant and/or airlock, stuck blend doors or leaking vacuum control lines, restricted or blocked coolant hoses-even a kinked hose can do it. if you end up needing a new heater core i suggest getting a shop to do it, even as an experienced mechanic, its one of those jobs that i like to create new swear words for.
