Hello to everyone. First post, here goes.....
I have a 56 Buick Special 4 Door Hardtop. I would like to convert to a disc brake setup while keeping the original suspension hardware. Anybody have any suggestions? I have come across Brake Tech Solutions, Scarebird, and Disk Brake Mike. If anybody has any recommendations I'd like to sort through them.
Thanks, looking forward to talking........
If you are still looking for a recommendation, Bebop138 recommended Scarebird Mechanical (ShopTalk under thread "Disc Brake Conversion 51 Special ". Found he's actually made this recommendation multiple times. I've been checking into the same conversion for a 56 Roadmaster. Looks like Scarebirds kits mount with modifications to spindles. Others I've checked into require custom modifications to spindles which makes me want to avoid them.

Check with Mark at Scarebird Mechanical---he makes brackets for front disc brake conversions. Very good---I have used his products and recomend him highly. Good Luck!!!
