Do You have power ( 12 Volts ) at the dr. switch? If not check the wires at the flex rubber wire shield ( you may have to cut open ) to check for broken wires ( common problem ) HTH
I cannot get the power windows to work. I have checked everything I can. I know they do not work when the doors are open. I would appreciate any guidance.

I have power to the switches. When I activate the switch, there is power going to the proper terminals on the switch. I am not getting power to the motor. Since I have owned the car the windows would not work with the doors open. Is there a relay or something that controls this? Thanks.
The most common problem with power windows inop. with the door open is the broken wires at the place I posted for you . Look at the door hinge and look for the rubber flex hose ( wires going to the power windows are in this flex hose ) . HTH
