57 special running like a dream

Hi,
Thank you everyone for all your help with different specs on the 57. I have finished the engine rebuild and its running soooo sweat!
Still have not driven it yet as the registration rulz in this country can be difficult sometimes.

Im just wondering if anyone can tell me the correct trans oil to use, iv got the manual but its not giving me a spacific rating. The oil that is in it is clear, so im reluctant to put Dextron 3 in it???????

It's supposed to be type "A" but good luck finding it!

Some guys have trouble with type "F" or now dexron III because there is friction modifier in the oil that makes the clutches shift more firmly. Some of my old stuff actually run betters with "F" in it now...

I don't like dexron III because the base is more acidic than the older stuff and it eats the original seals up faster. Just my two cents...
