Is there a kit that some speed shop sell to mate an '89 700R4 to a BOP?
I know the 200 would be a better, but I bought the 89 Formula before I knew that the tranny was the 7 bolt GM pattern, so would like to use what I already have.
Any suggestions?

when you say "7 bolt GM pattern", you mean the Chevy pattern, right? GM hasn't actually used that top center bolt since the late 60s. in fact, newer chevy blocks don't even have that hole tapped anymore.
at any rate, i think you're just looking for a BOPC block to chevy trans adapter. you should be able to google for one of those.

Yep, I found a couple of kits...for the price (185.00 plus another 180.00 for the lock-up kit) I probably can get a core 200 4R.
