    1968 GS400 Trunk Stainless Installation

I have a 1968 GS400. Does anyone know the procedure for installing the two stainless strips that go on the trunk? Thanks.

Does the deck have the small clip holders welded to the deck lid? If it does you get small plastic clips that slide on to the welded on tab, then the molding just snaps on. Thanks Bill.

just FYI to make sure your putting the right part one, there is a 3rd peice that goes inbetween the two long strips at the bottom of the trunk reading "GS 350" or "GS 400". another good way of mounting them (if you cannot get access to a welder and the tabs are already not on and you want it there forever) is the good old ghetto rigging fashion of JBWeld, not the best solution, but with enough of it, it will get the job done as long as you prep and set it right

If I remember correctly, they make the tab that can be welded on with a stud gun, the one used for dent pulling and I think they also make a tab that is screw in. I seem to think I have some on a 66 Skylark that had the side molding put back on. Thanks Bill.
