    364 Nailhead Rocker Covers

I have been looking around at Rocker Covers for my 1960 364 Nailhead and have been finding nothing but dissapointment.

It seems that there are only 3 styles available: Offys, EELCOs, and Mooneyes. I have a fondness for the Offy finned covers, but nobody seems to carry them in stock! Also, the Offys and EELCOs look exactly the same to me and I dont really like them.

So, does anyone know of where I would be able to get a pair of Offys or maybe something on the more unusual side (maybe Weiand or Edelbrock)? Used or new, it doesnt really matter. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks! I swear that you guys make this the best forum on the net!

I bought offy rocker covers for my nailhead from speedway motors street catalog. tele# 402 323-3200. Part # 560-3416, $194.95 plus tax & shipping. I had to take them to a machine shop to bore the hole for the PCV valve. ($30.00). Also you can check them out online at www.speedwaymotors.com. I have the old original set, in excellant shape, if you are interested. By the way, mine is a 401, but I believe they are interchangeable. Let me know.

    Talking Rocker Covers

Are You referrig to Valve Covers or a Valley Pan?

All Nailheads have the same Valve Covers and Valley Pans regardless of Engine Displacement.

You might want to try O'Brien Truckers.

They carry a variety of Nailhead Dress-Up Parts

Mooneyes No-Name and Offenhauser are the MOST Popular. The OFFEYS are a Nice Set are there are a FEW Places thar carry them.

Offeys look really good if you have an Offey Manifold. They match up reallly well.

I have heard that there are Issues with EELCo's. They are pretty new to the market and don't really inspire confidence. Company Management has also become a BIG issue. (Northwest Speed)

You can get Reproduction Buick Aluminum Valve Covers at T/A Performance.

Also Don Kring has come out with some really beautiful NailHead finned valve & valley covers. Although a little on the pricey side (not for the faint of heart or the price shoppers) the quality is bar None. Be very careful of some of the Buick repro valve covers. Some are made in Mexico & of extremely poor quality. Do some evilbay searching they come up quit often. If interested I will try & get Don's info.

Also any brand Summit carries can usually be ordered online if you know the part number and use the prefix Summit uses for that brand. I think Offy is either ofy-# or offy-# .also Offy parts can be ordered from Offenhauser directly they are in Los Angeles.

    Good Luck - Mike
