Hey guys, I've got a 69 electra that I recently resurected, and when I had the tank cleaned, they didnt get all the rust out. Consequently, I've had fuel starvation problems due to rust clogging the filters. The last time I had a mechanic fix it, but this time I'm determined to do it my self. Now, I changed the bulb filter as soon as I noticed it starving, and noticed when I installed the bulb that it was ratteling, but assumed that since it was a brand new to me that that was normal. More fool me. the bulb was defective, and the car died on me. after a tow home, I took off the bulb and replaced it, then took off the filter next to the carb and replaced it too. in the process I slightly crimped the fuel line. Now I cant get the car to start. there is still room for the fuel to flow through the line, but it is exibiting symtoms of fuel starvation. Could the jets in the carb be dirty?? if so how can I clean them? Help!! thanks in advance for any tips.
